The Akuma and Tenshi race are kind of related to each other. The Tenshi are usually good/white/light magic while the Akuma's are bad/black/dark magic users. If a Tenshi and Akuma marry, the Tenshi could undo any spell cast by an Akuma only up to the day of their marriage. The Akuma's are weak compared to the Tenshi.

Update:
The Tenshi and Aukmas share several important bloodline traits. The most common is the manipulation of their blood. They can make it toxic or acid like or turn around and use their own blood as a cure for most diseases, but not all are curable. Another bloodline trait, is being able to speak with the animals or a living plant if it is willing to let them.
